We believe in Jesus Christ.

As individuals, the members of our church have a variety of different beliefs. Most of the areas where our beliefs differ are those that might be referred to as disputed matters or non-essentials. To put it simply, some things are not explained clearly enough in the bible for us to all understand them in the same way. After all, a lot of things have changed in the last 2,000 years and we are only human - a book written by God can be difficult to understand. Despite these differences (or perhaps because of them) we are united on principles of theology that are so clearly laid out in the bible that they could be referred to as non-negotiables.

The Bible

We believe that the bible is truth, that it was inspired by God and is able to be trusted as a framework for our lives. 

GOD

We believe in one God: the Creator of the world, all powerful, all knowing, and the only true God. We believe in the trinity of God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit, and that each member of the trinity is equally God. 

JESUS CHRIST

We believe in Jesus Christ, the Son of God. We believe that Jesus is both fully God and fully man, and that he died for our sins and rose again on the third day. Even more amazing, we believe that God knew before creation that man would sin, and he shows us hints through the Old Testament that his plan all along was to send his Son to save us. 
We believe that Jesus will one day return to judge the world and restore all things to God's original perfect design.

The Holy Spirit

We believe that while God the Father is in heaven and his Son is seated at his right hand, the Holy Spirit is living and active in our everyday lives. He is our comforter, our counsellor and our advocate. We believe that it is through the Holy Spirit that we are able to change and become more like Jesus in our thoughts and actions.

SALVATION

We believe that there is one way to salvation: accepting the free gift of redemption that is offered through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross. We believe that this gift is available to all who are willing to accept it.

YOU

We believe that you were put on this earth for a reason. You were not a mistake or an accident. You are not a jumble of cells which somehow found their way together and formed a human. You are a deliberate and beautiful creation, once perfect, designed for a relationship with God which will restore you {one day} to the masterpiece He created you to be.
We believe that this God, who sent his Son to die, would have sacrificed his most beloved child even if the only person it would save was you. And we believe that makes you pretty darn special.
